The Screen Acting Room (SAR) Accelerator Track is SAA’s cohort-based acting course, designed for casual students who can only commit to once-a-week classes. The program includes two sessions delivered over two 8-week terms, with four classes per level. This 16-week version covers the same material as our 20-week program, just on a slightly tighter schedule due to Long Holiday Weekends. This program’s goal is simple: to help get you signed with a talent agent, connect you with local film representatives and professionals, and start auditioning as quickly as possible.
Session 1 builds your foundation with key techniques, scene work, and camera awareness, while Session 2 takes you fully on-camera, refining your character, audition skills, and preparing you for professional opportunities. Classes will give you hands-on training, personalized feedback, and the confidence to perform at an industry standard.
This balanced, forward-thinking philosophy ensures that students not only learn how to act, but also how to get hired—and just as importantly, how to thrive.
SAA is proud to be Calgary’s preferred acting school, with a strong track record of student success.
As part of the course, students have the opportunity to build a professional talent portfolio, which includes up to three audition clips, a polished talent résumé, headshots—offering a tangible foundation for their entry into the industry.
