Greg Fox will take students through a live simulation of scene blocking that involves the camera traveling with the actors. Actors will learn key concepts on how to seamlessly perform with complex cues and blocking - a must for any aspiring actor wanting to be ready for on-set performance. Greg Fox is a pioneer in the business. He's from Vancouver, BC, where he's earned his stripes, being hired as 1st camera operator and DP. for over 100 projects. Greg will give you the language and techniques used on-set, which are "must" skills that any professional actor needs to acquire.
In this course we will be discussing:
Framing: the various type of shots, various lenses and how this impacts an actor's performance
The Traveling Shot: actors in movement.
Axis and eyelines.
Hitting your light.
Hitting your marks.
Communications with Camera Crew: instructional terminology you need to know.
Tips on harmoniously performing with blocking and movement.
Staying open to the camera.
Prerequisite: All workshops are considered advanced courses (recommended for students Level 2+).
Workshops are sold separately, and are for students 13+.
