At SAA, we know that successful actors consider all POVs of production when applying their audition technique. Former actress Cynthia Knight, who is now among one of the busiest Canadian writers, producers and showrunners, will share her invaluable experiences on all of these key titles.
After a Q and A with Cynthia Knight, students will audition a short scene. Cynthia Knight will give her invaluable feedback from a 3 POVs: as a writer, an executive producer, and a showrunner! And of course, as a former actress! Also on the menu:
Discover key factors that writer's consider when assembling a cast of characters.
Discover several audition "faut pas": i.e. Does it hurt your auditions if you change a word? A line? And so forth...
Understand the importance of characterization and how to bring diversity to your auditions.
